Dear wife I’ve never met,
I love you. I have yet to see you and talk to you, but I know that you will be the one to make me feel comforted whenever I feel alone. You know, I can imagine the day I hold you in my arms and declare my love for you, I will just feel so overwhelmed and ecstatic that I finally get to hold my bride that I can just literally cry.
And that is why I made the choice to honour you, my dear wife. The one I’ve never met, and yet the one to hold my hands til the day I die. To prepare myself to be the best guy you ever need. To even start now by the things I say and do. I live to teach myself how to love you. To grow more in love in Christ, together growing in our relationship with God as one flesh, one body.
Sometimes loneliness gets to me and grips me like how a leech attaches itself to any mammal, sucking the “life” out of me. This is when I will think about you, my dear, the one I’ve never met. When I look out and gaze at the moon, I wonder if we are staring at the same moon. Maybe, you’re asking yourself the same question:”Is he thinking about me now?” Well I am, and til the day I leave you, my wife, my love for you is true, the one I’ve never met.
But when I finally get to stare into your beautiful eyes, the one I’ve never met, you will know that I have always loved you all the days of my life.
This sounds corny and all, but in every sense from the depths of my heart. True story.
